Yes, it can. Just a tip, try not to use a front speaker, doesn't sound as good.

while I do start getting some sound out of the 1st side I connect, I believe you need both connected to get the most watts and best use of the device. Or try connecting 1 side and turn the range up on the l.o.c for peek power.
