• NO the ipad is from Apple and uses IOS and this Surface is using Windows RT. You can not install any programs from the ipad. Microsoft has a app store that is similar to Apple's, and those programs will work. The Windows RT systems will not even run regular windows programs. Hope this helps.

• You can't download programs onto the Surface 2 other than the programs and apps offered by the Microsoft store. If you had Word and Excel files on your iPad, you can save those to the Surface.

• Hello there, You can download pictures , ect....but you are unable to download programs to the Surface 2 tablet. I hope this was helpful to you.
