It's the i7-7660u. The "u" stands for "ultra-low voltage"- aka 15W.

The Core v U Chip isn't completely accurate, as the U series chips are "core". This latest release of the Surface system, specifically the 1796 model (i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) from Microsoft is using an Intel Core i7-7660U (Intel Core i7) processor. Note the use of "U" in the processor name. All U series chips will have that letter at the end of the designation. Beyond this, I recommend searching for added technical details. Way too much to include in a product Q&A at purchase time.
