“Is it possible to use this surface pro at voltage of 220 by using adapter in other countries? Or do I need a transformer to step down from 220v to 110v?”

• You should be able to just use an adapter plug. The power brick says input voltage is 100-240V.

• Happily, for a few years now, nearly every power block/brick that doesn't heft like it's made of stone will work from Japan's 100Volts, Europe's 240Volts A.C. and any voltage in between. Detach the included "electric razor" cord for a cord used locally, to fit wall receptacle....EASY!
