The Best Buy warranty runs in parallel to the manufacturer warranty. I would recommend getting it. Unlike other products, any other than a minor accident could require partial or full replacement.

I think they send it into the manufacturer during the manufacturers warranty but it gets fixed. My thoughts- Microsoft is a good reliable company. In three years if it dies I would rather buy a new computer than have an old fixed computer- but that's me
