“I have a Surface Pro 3. None of the USB drives I own will work with the USB port on the tablet. I don't think the port power is high enough for these drives. Is there a recommended USB drive that will work? Do I need to go solid state? Thanks!”

Hello Vern, The Surface Pro 3 comes with one 3.0 USB port. This port is the latest and fastest USB port on the market and can be used with most USB drives. Regarding a Solid State Drive (SDD), it is really up to you. An SSD will run quieter than the HDD (Hard Disc Drives). We hope this was helpful to you.
