Yes, on Youtube it runs the screen resolution. 1080p no problem, only two things tho, the noise from the fan and battery go faster.

Because the I5 streams 1080P as well unless you don't have internet connection that can support it. It almost seems as if you're utilizing a very specific streaming service that isn't being supported very well. I utilize Youtube for most of my streaming needs, and I go beyond 1080P. I also watch BluRays on my surface as well. Hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I stream 1080p video on it all the time using Kodi (XBMC). I also briefly had an i5 version which did the same. Don't know where the information that it could only stream 720p came from.
