Q: QuestionHi, i bought the Microsoft - Surface Pro Signature Type Cover for my Surface pro 3 but the Type Cover magnet doesn't pleat the back edge up against my Surface. is that normal?

• A:Answer It does "pleat," but you have to break it in...older versions used to pleat more easily out of the box, but it appears the materials used are more rigid, which is probably a good thing (I suspect this version is more durable than the versions a few years ago). After a couple of weeks, I found the board more easily switched between being flat or raised.

• A:Answer The Surface Pro covers are powered through a connection with the surface Pro when attached. If they are not attached, they do not work. They cannot be used wirelessly.

• A:Answer It is connected to the Surface computer magnetically to power up. Operationally it is connected to the computer by bluetooth. So if it is connected by bluetooth and attached to the computer it will turn on and off with the computer. If it is not attached it will not get power and will not work. If bluetooth is turned off, it will not work. It only works with Microsoft Surface computers.
