- Answer To echo what the community has said, yes, this controller will work with Windows 7. However for best use, we recommend Windows 10.

- Answer If the airline allows it, then yes, you would just need to turn it on once you turn on airplane mode.

QuestionIf the controller is the newer xbox one s controller, than what is the need for the adapter? Couldn't i just connect the controller to my pc via bluetooth and still use it wirelessly without any drop off in performance?

- Answer You can use it via Bluetooth but this is Microsoft's proprietary wireless solution and it works so much better. I tried via Bluetooth and it was a pain.

- Answer The new adapters work with only Xbox one and newer. Xbox 360 controllers won't connect to the new protocol. You can buy the adapter separately but I don't know if 360 adapters are still sold.
