The code is printed on the receipt towards the bottom under the credit card info. You can also view the receipt in your Account Purchase details page if you have lost the paper slip. If you are the recipient you will have to ask for the code from your gifter, although Best Buy customer service MAY be able to tell you if you have the gift receipt, since they should be able to look up the full receipt using the code, but it isn't printed on it. However, they may not give it to you with just the gift receipt because it is technically a different item and may not be intended for you, they would have no way to know. The code is also supposed to be emailed out to the purchaser's registered account email address if they are a member, but that could go to spam or trash. Once the recipient has the code, they can use it at redeem.microsoft.com using their Microsoft account. That same account will then log in to the Xbox app on PC or their Xbox console. In the Xbox app you simply browse the available games and click install. One thing to note though, if they are already a subscriber for a lower tier Game Pass be sure to use the code toward the end of a subscription period, because it will convert prepaid time to Ultimate at a reduced rate, ie. 90 days of an existing prepaid PC Game Pass subscription will become 60 days of Ultimate when redeeming the code, causing them to lose that extra time.
