I just bought the 2 TB USB drive. This not only solved my immediate need for space against my 500G drive, but I will be able to plug it into the X once it is out. After 3TB is full I can always get another drive. At the time of this writing it is on sale.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Launch Day boxes (both Scorpio and Standard) both ship with 1TB, which is woefully inadequate I agree, but they had to keep that $499 price point... Invest in a Western Digital 4TB MyBook drive and be done with the problem (should be $100 on sale... if not, wait a few weeks, it will be). You can add up to Two External Drives.
