Thanks for your question! Yes, the Xbox wired controllers that come with Xbox One S and Xbox One X are the same. Both of these controllers have built-in Bluetooth support, so you should be able to connect them to your iPhone as well. Xbox One X is the most advanced model in the Xbox One family of devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Xbox X and S controllers are the same. Xbox One controllers are all universal and can be used across every Xbox One platform. Secondly, if you want a controller to connect to an iPhone then you must make sure you get the Xbox One controller that has Bluetooth capabilities, as the one that typically comes with the Xbox is not Bluetooth capable. Lastly, the Xbox One X and the Xbox One S are both the latest versions of the Xbox One line. The X is the most capable of the two, offering the most versatility and power with true 4k quality (assuming you have a 4k capable TV). The S has more budget friendly options, with options for a 100% digital only console (no disk slot whatsoever), or a fully capable console that can "simulate" 4k graphics while not actually providing them directly (if that makes any sense). All and all, since the X and the S are both very similarly priced at the moment... Your best option is to go with the X if you're on the fence between the two. Hope that helped!
