So the answer is no, you do not have to repurchase. Series S is all Digital , Series X does support digital , it just has a disc player to play games if you prefer physical copy. Think of it as blu ray disc movie or digital . Series X has disc player to play CD's DVD Blu ray and of course Xbox Disc games. Series X i have but all my games digital, i still have few of my disc games saving them for just collections. But everything is saved on your son xbox account all the games movies you bought on the cloud. Just gotta redownload it. 2TB is a good one especially if he plays call of duty fortnite minecraft
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the console he has now is a series s, I’m assuming they are all digital games that are downloaded. Once you get a new Xbox and sign in to your account on the new one, you just have to redownload whatever games you want on the new one. Essentially the games will move with the account, just have to download them again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you will need to either redownload all the games onto the new Xbox or transfer everything over from the old Xbox to the new Xbox. If you go the transfer route, then you need both Xboxes, old and new, next to each other and transfer the information from one Xbox to the other.
