• Not sure if it has a belt, however it is covered enough that not easily jammed (like the Dyson). The bags are not cheap, but I got a bunch on Cyber Monday to last the year. I have 4 dogs and I need to change it more often then recommended. Not used to buying bags as replaced a Dyson, however the vacuum ability is so much better than the Dyson totally worth the cost. The bags can be bought at a lot of places online with coupons.

• It uses a geared belt that should last for several years before needing replacement. The filters are reasonably priced compared to some other brands.
