DOES THIS MAT HAVE A LIP null

No it doesn’t have a lip. It lies flat

It’s not square all the way around. It has its top portion to go under the desk.

It is flat with nobs on the bottom which keep it secure to the carpet. I would not recommend it for hardwood floors though. It works for me as it is contoured to fit under a desk as well as providing enough room for a nice office chair.
