• Hello Insert 1, Thank you for your question. Yes, if your fireplace insert goes bad, you can purchase a new one. Unfortunately, at this time none of our fireplace inserts come with a remote. We do not suggest buying a fireplace insert that might fit from somewhere else. That would be modifying the unit and voiding the warranty of the unit. Thanks again,
