Mount it is high as possible. I'd mount it as high as a 2 story house. You can always move it again. You can add onto the 30ft of coaxial that comes with it.

I would suggest that you look for a site that will allow you to enter in your complete address for a signal scan to see just what is available. With antennas the higher the better for optimal reception.
