Oh, the antenna gives a great picture as long as you're able to get a good signal. I connected it to a Tivo and when I did the signal test, as long as I got 40 or above, I got full HD quality. About the amount of channels, I was able to reel in 23 channels in my location.

Please try again later.Google "What ota channels are available in my area" and look for a website that will allow you to enter in your complete address so you can see if you are in a good area for reception. If you have a color TV the programming will be in color, if you have a black and white TV it will be black and white. Please note that if you do have a black and white TV you would most likley need a digital converter box for a digital antenna to work on it. TV's that are made prior to 2009 do not have digital tuners built in and the converter is needed for the antenna to work.

The bigger channels are in full HD and color, but some of the smaller local channels are in SD. They do show a lot of the old programming in B&W. Picture is as good as Cable. I would definitely recommend it.
