If you live in or just outside a city where there are multiple TV stations, you could get by with the 30, if farther away choose the 50. The 50 is probably amplified as well.

You can google "what OTA signals can I get in my area" and find an address tool that will allow you to put in your complete address to see what your distance is from the towers in your area. Less than 30 miles the 30 should work for you. More than 30 but less than 50 the 50 would be the one to try.
