  • QuestionWhat does the 50 mile part mean? I am in a small town about 90 miles away from Atlanta and at least 60 to Chattanooga.

    Asked by tebow15.

    • Answer Its the distance from the radio towers to your antenna. The more distance, the more channels you’ll get. That said, there are usually several towers in each town so you probably are not that far from them, but regardless of that you’ll get more channels with the better antennas

    Asked by angel66.

We get FOX, PBS (several different stations-KCET x3, KOCE x2, KLCS x 3) all Mexican stations, IONLife, KTLA (Los Angeles,) MyNt, and many more, particularly foreign language in Japanese, Korean, Middle Eastern, Chinese and more languages that I don't recognize, plus the ones you noted with their subsidiary channels.

  • QuestionI have a Vizio 4K Ultra HD TV. I do not have a cable/antenna coax on my TV. How can I attach the antenna to my TV? This is a 2016

    Asked by Vandyck7.

    • Answer Short answer: no. This antenna comes with the parts necessary to connect it to a coaxial connector on the back of most TVs. If you had a Set Top Box (STB), you would connect the coaxial cable to the STB, then run an HDMI cable from your STB to the TV. I would suggest looking into a Coaxial-to-HDMI converter and plug the antenna into one of your unused HDMI ports. If you don't have any unused HDMI ports, you may need to also look into an HDMI splitter.

  • Questionwhat determine compatibility with TV's. How can I find out if my TV is one of the selected TV's that this antenna works with?

    Asked by chasmo.

    • Answer Hey Chasmo. If you have anywhere on your TV that an antenna can plug into then you should be good to go with this. Also if you can find anywhere in your TV menu that mentions an antenna then that's also a sign that it would work with your TV. Worst case scenario, if it doesn't work then just take it back to the store and they should give you a full refund. Good luck!

  • QuestionWill it work with a Tivo?

    Asked by Rick.

    • Answer TiVo can be a little tricky with an antenna unless you are in a location with good signal strength. The less tuners in the TiVo the better the reception chances. When a signal is split it is weakened by 1/2 so if you have a TiVo with 4 tuners the signal is split 4 times which weakens the signal significantly.

  • QuestionMohu works only in USA ?

    Asked by Papita.

    • Answer In theory, as long as the country has UHF or VHF, the antenna should work there. The country it is being used in must have a UHF or VHF frequency. Our Leaf (non-amplified) antenna - needs to be 35 miles from UHF towers and/or 10 miles from VHF towers - but there can be no terrain interference between the transmitting tower and the location being used. You must have a TV that has a digital tuner inside and cannot be used with houses that have metal roofs, aluminum siding, stucco, fire escape, bars on windows, etc or any other metal barrier. You would have to find out how far and in what frequency the towers are transmitting from. There are other variables involved with over-the-air transmission but we do not have access your country's broadcasting data in relation to specific locations. Another thing to keep in mind is that most international countries use 220V power outlets which a special socket. Unless the amplifier can be powered by USB from the Television's USB port, you would also have to purchase the appropriate voltage converter.

  • QuestionI plug right into my TV and pick up local channels nothing else required Right?

    Asked by Allaboard.

    • Answer You need to move it around until you find a compass direction that picks up the most signals. In some cases some of your local channels may have their over air antennas located in slightly different directions so just move the antenna when necessary.

  • QuestionWill it work without a cable/internet Infinity or Fios connection? I don't have cable. All I have is a an over the air antenna in my attic space that connects to my TV and a converter box to get over the air channels. Will it work under these conditions ?

    Asked by rich.

    • Answer Yes it works without cable. We have streaming internet but it is not associated with any TV service nor are you able to stream current news over it. The Mohu allows us to get local news. The number of stations available depends on your location. Unfortunately most stations broadcasting in our area have repeat old sitcoms and shows.

  • QuestionHow about older tv's not hgtv with these Mohu antenna's

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer If your TV was made prior to 2009 there is a very good chance that you would need a digital converter box in order to use an antenna with your TV. If you are not sure if your TV has a digital or ATSC tuner you can reach out to the maker of your tv, provide them with the model number and they can let you know for sure. A digital converter is a relatively inexpensive cost and there is no monthly fee. Once you purchase it you are all set.

  • Questionlive in zip code 08876 have a west facing window. several towers within 50 miles do you think this will work well?

    Asked by ej.

    • Answer Hmmmm. Not a great area based on fairly weak signal strength, VHF signals and terrain located in the area. I see that with a 50 you would be able to pull in PBS and an independent station or two. In all honesty you may want to try a set of old school rabbit ear antennas at this location. You have LOTS of VHF signals out there! Good luck cutting the cord!
