Yes. Both items are charged while plugged into the mophie wall charger.

Yes, when you connect the case & phone to the cord it will charge the phone first and then charge up the case battery

Yes. I never take my phone out of the case. If you do, you run the risk of breaking or bending the plug which goes into the phone.
