Personally, I would simply put some peel and stick clear vinyl on the areas you are looking to protect, similar to a screen protector on your phone. We have not had any scratching issues with ours yet, but it does not get knocked around much either.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is the same size as my phone. Couldn't you use a cheap screen protector for a phone and stick it too it? I think the screen protectors I bought were oversize and needed to be trimmed, but I'd think it would work.
