“What exactly is the difference between the Boom and Boom2?”

I have had two of the first boom prior to these had numerous other blue tooth's one I was not happy with them then lost them. When I bought my first boom I simply read the information on them less interference from back ground noise etc. I found them to be superior I lost two of these ! See the pattern ? LOL I went and replaced them only shopping for a boom based on experience. When I bought this one I did not realize it was boom 2 however noticed some changes people NEVER complained they could not hear me even when outside with wind involved I told my wife wow this is much better. Along the way I realized it was boom 2 ! Take it from someone who has been through numerous blue tooth this is THE BEST OUT THERE ! Absolutely no issues on either end of conversation !
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So far as I can tell, the audio quality is better. The rubber ear adapters are dark and won't yellow like the old ones. I think the microphone picks up less background noise.

Please try again later.I am actually on my way to best buy to return this blue tooth.. first off,.. the earpiece hurts the inside of ear (tragus).. and if I use the clip on, .. I can not hear anyone talking to me. people complained to me that all they hear is wind, .(when I was outside ) and there was no way It could be configured to announce who was calling from my contact list... just numbers. I'm going to purchase something from plantronics, .. they have a comfortable earpiece, and hopefully I can find one I used to have. ( that announced callers in my list )
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Looks like it may have a little longer talk time but they took away a couple accessories. Larger over the ear loop and the charger, they only include a very short charging cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just got the Boom 2 after running my Boom (1) through the washing machine and don't notice any real difference in quality. It is a bit smaller and they get to call it a new model to charge more maybe.
