“Can someone from Best Buy clarify the warranty issue? Do the refurbished cell phones have a 90 days warranty from Best Buy and a one-year warranty from Motorola? I would also like to know who performs the refurbishment. Thank you very much.”

Unfortunately, after today's experience, I can answer a little about the warranty. All they will offer is to refund you the price of the phone. No replacement, no exchange and no repair. The stores themselves will NOT do a warranty repair on refurbished phones, which may be a good indicator the refurbishment work is done by someone else.
