Yes, easy to root. Google the instructions.

To root these phone requires you to go to Motorola's page and agree to the terms you will be voiding your warranty as these phones have locked bootloaders. Locked bootloaders prevent rooting. If you choose this route, rooting is pretty easy but every time you reboot your phone, you will get a warning screen saying "This is an untrusted device..." And it boots fine from there. Even if you manage to telock the bootloader, Motorola has already voided your warranty.
