The Moto G5 and Moto G (5th generation) are exactly the same phones. Same goes with the Plus versions. It's a market issue with some markets labling the phones a Moto G and designating the generation while other markets naming the phones Moto G5. By different markets, I'm meaning other countries or part of the country.

If it's the 5.2 display it's the same, if it's the 5.5 display it's not
