- Answer Verzion will not let you do any form of discounted pricing meaning that you have to buy the phone at retail to keep your unlimited data plan. To use an "edge" plan or new contract plan you will need to switch to a limited data plan.

- Answer The Droid editions are all exclusive to Verizon and are incompatible with AT&T's mobile signal system, so unfortunately the answer is no.

- Answer Consumer Cellular is its own brand, for all intents and purposes. Verizon is not the same company. A variety of cellular phones are made for various service providers and usually have that provider's proprietary software on the cellphone when you purchase it. If you buy a phone from either provider, you are serviced by that provider until you switch carriers. Be very careful to read the fine print on any contractual agreement that you might have to sign so that you are aware of the circumstances to which you are agreeing.

- Answer I believe it is $624 if purchased outright. But the offer from Best Buy is either: $1 if purchased as a new line or upgrade on a 2-year contract, Or, $200 off (so $424) if purchased on a device payment plan ($17 per month for 24 months) which you can pay off at any time. This is through Verizon and is essentially a no-interest financing option. Both of those offers also include a free JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod accessory (worth $79), which I do like so far.

- Answer Don't know. I was at Best buy mobile yesterday getting the Z Force Droid for myself and my wife wanted the regular Z Droid in white, but the guys there seemed to be having trouble figuring out where or when it would actually be available. They weren't able to order it at all. The good news is that the current promotional offer (free speaker mod and $200 off) is good for almost two more weeks so we're hoping we can at least preorder this by then.

- Answer If you go with the BB rebates or gift cards and DON'T sign up for a 2 year contract, you can keep your $20 line access fee. That's what I did.
