• I wasn't charged either of those fees at the time of order. The monthly payment plan is over $8.00 less then Verizon's and you get the speaker for free, which you won't get at Verizon.

• No, if you buy from best buy you will pay, $20 upgrade fee, $20 activation fee, and $20 for some other fee.

• No, Best Buy does not honor carrier specials and have their own. So you will still be billed the activation fee.

• I didn't get free activation although it was a better deal if you pre-ordered through Best Buy than VZW. Not sure if it is now that its normal purchase though.
