All the mods connect pretty much the same way, they are designed to "snap on". You can buy a protective case for the phone when you're not using any of the mods, but it will have to come off when using them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes there'll be a problem with a protective case because the 360 Camera is a second back cover to your phone but with the camera at the top. So when you want to use the 360, you must take off the regular back cover to your phone and use the 360 and then remove later. Also due to the camera being at the top of the phone, it is not convenient carrying the phone around with it.

Once you have the 360 mod, all you need to do is to attach it at the back of the phone and make sure that it fits correctly. It's okay to have a protective case on the device but if you wanted to use it with a mod, you need to remove the case cause it covers the gold magnet that connects the mod to the phone.
