The MB8600 is much faster than the MG7310. If you have premium internet connection (100+ Mbps), you will definitely benefit from it. However, the MB8600 does not has wireless capability so you will need to connect a wireless router to one of the 4 Ethernet port. The MG7310 is a combo device so it has built in wireless but the quality is not very good.

You don't have to take any hassle of returning it to them, in case, you want to discontinue Comcast One observation, since, I've started using my own router, net connection is very erratic
