Customers commend the N300 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem for its ease of use, strong performance, and affordable price. Many appreciate the compatibility with major internet providers and the generally reliable setup process. However, some users report occasional WiFi connectivity issues and inconsistent signal strength in certain areas. The product's range and connection stability appear to be the main points of concern for some customers.

I have Spectrum internet service and choose to purchase my own router/modem. There were many to choose from so i called Spectrum to get their suggested products that would be compatible with their service network. They mentioned several pricey products that would work and support online gaming and streaming which is a plus but not something I necessarily needed. . I had done a bit of research so I asked about the compatibility of the Motorola - N300 Router With Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem. The tech looked it up and told me that it would be more that adequate and came highly recommended. I made the purchase and I am totally satisfied with the reliability and performance.

Have used a variety of cable modem/routers (Linksys, Belkin, Motorola) and frankly Motorola (Arris) have always been more reliable in operation for the long haul. This unit is compatible with the primary cable providers and saves you money on rental from them. Motorola seems to always have the best price, even when it is not on sale. This unit was very easy to connect and the wireless range was absolutely phenomenal in a three story townhome.

had to buy this because we switched from a dsl modem to a cable modem. first off, if you haven't already made the switch to cable high speed. It's so much better then dsl. But this modem works great. I now get 120 mbps through the Ethernet wire hooked up to my desktop. the wifi is impressive too. It reached to my man cave in the garage where our video games are hooked up and the speed test out there is 40 to 50 mbps. considering the router has to go through several doors and walls to project out to the garage about 75 feet away, 40 to 50 mbps is very good. The router does it's job perfectly. We also run 4 phones, a laptop, directv, xbox, and tablets through the wifi (sometimes all at once) and there isn't any slow down on any of the devices.

    Comcast Gateway

I wanted to replace my Comcast gateway (modem/router) with my own, both to save the rental fee and to provide a greater level of password security. The Motorola MG7310 is essentially a drop-in replacement, so setup was simple and took very little time. I was surprised to find that the Motorola gateway outperformed the Comcast-provided gateway by a significant margin. Download speeds at my location with Blast routinely exceed 40 mbps regardless of the speed test service that I utilize. Since I've installed this gateway (about 3 months ago) I've had zero outages and reset the gateway once; when the power went out. I have four wired components connected, plus four computers and two printers connected through the wifi. The range of the wifi easily reaches all points in our 2-story house, and the speed tests were done through the wifi, not a direct connection. I can't really fault this gateway on anything--it provides security, dependability, and outstanding performance for the whole family at a really great price, so I can recommend this product to anyone with similar needs.

Decided to stop renting from Comcast. Read reviews and decided on this one. Very clearly states on box it is compatible with Comcast/Xfinity and it works great. Directions are good, but I read up about installation on line. They went into a little more detail which a not too techy person like me needed. Installation was simple and it started working immediately. I've been using it for over a month and am very pleased. It seems to be much faster than the one supplied by Comcast. I highly recommend this product.

    Great Way to Save $

I decided I was paying the cable company too much. The reason was that I was leasing their equipment. At almost $9/mo this made no sense to me. I was throwing money out of the window. I decided to reclaim it by buying my own cable modem. It is a gateway modem, capable of connecting 4 devices directly in addition to WiFi. This Motorola modem is a little behind the times, however: it does not include a 5GHz band. This means that any 2GHz device in the area can potentially cause interference with your wireless Internet connection. I found this out the hard way, because my speed meter used to have download speeds of 20gbps. The interference dropped the speed to a paltry 10-13gbps. This is better than what I achieved with their modem and my old router setup, but still has videos buffering from time to time. I still am glad I liberated that $9 back into my pocket, however. It is a small price to pay for piece of mind.

Great modem with wifi built in. At first i thought that i had a modem with wireless signal problem was about to return it. However i spoke with my time warner internet provider and i found a few things first for best Wi-Fi signal make sure that you select a channel and not leave it on auto channel. Second reason i was planning to return the modem was it was not getting 200mbps again spoke with provider and found out i should have checked the list for modems that are compatible with time warner 200mbps this modem was list for 100mbps so that was my fault. Last but not least i had parts of my home that were not getting a signal I read online house made with masonry material i would need signal amplifiers i got one and my problems were solved. So i do recommend this product but make sure to check with your provider as far as which modems are compatible with them and at what speeds.

This was exactly what I needed. It was easy to install, and works great. Since it is both a modem and a router, it saves room on my desk. Haven't had any signal loss, it remains good and steady. Fabulous upgrade to what I had!

I shopped around to replace a router that died and read some pretty good reviews for this router as a replacement. It was easy to hook up and it broadcasts into every room in the house from the basement. Fair price too.

I ordered this Motorola - N300 Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Gray online and picked up at store very easily. It is very easy to hook up and activated by the Spectum. Download and Upload speed are pretty fast, wifi is also very easy to hook up and manage like change the network name and password through my computer. I did mess up the wifi setup and I called the Motorola Support Hotline, they answered and helped me to solve the problem right away. So far it has been a week and seems working fine. Overall is a very good product and very good price!

I replaced a cable modem and a router with this combination modem/router. It installed and was running in 10 minutes. The performance is excellent and the lights on the device show exactly what the modem is doing. I am using it on the Cox network. I had to take it to their store to get the serial number stored on the network which was easy except it was a new modem to their network and it took the associate a few minutes to find it would work on the Cox network. This is one of those electronic devices that installs easy and runs flawlessly. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

This router has been awesome, it was less than $100 and in less than 3 months it had paid for itself. Becausr the cable companies will not ask if you have your own router, you have to tell them. Saved me about $270 so far.

Installed this for my father in law since I am the default tech support. He is using this for his internet access at home. It easily supports his one notebook. His ISP is Comcast Xfinity. It was easy to get setup and simple to configure after initial setup. I recommend it for all your in law Help Desk home setup requests. I have not had to return since installation for any tech support, only for steak dinners and good company. I can not guarantee you will steak dinners if you purchase this device, but it can't hurt.
