A:AnswerHello Jess,
Possibly you have the power saving mode activated. This feature allows the monitor to turn off after a few moments of no activity. To activate or deactivate this feature:
1. Press the M button, and the menu bar will pop up.
2. Press the < LEFT button or > RIGHT button until 'video on timer' is highlighted.
3. Press the + UP button or - DOWN button to select auto video off after 5min, 30min, or 60min if operating on batteries only.
If you have any questions left or need further assistance, please reach us via email or live chat. Our support contacts can be found on the box or in the user's guide. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Kind regards, Crystal & the Motorola Support Team.

A:AnswerI've been searching for an answer to this question. From Motorola support, they said it was the same hardware, but different software. When I asked about the differences in the software, they said the differences were "proprietary." When I asked about the different features, if any, I was told that there are no differences except for "the software." Very vague answers led me to believe Motorola is simply changing the model numbers with a small/inconsequential software tweak so Best Buy and/or other retailers can have an exclusive and avoid price matching if any other retailer decides to put it on sale. The last part is total speculation, but I can't find another reason for 2 different model numbers with the same hardware and same features at the same price.
A:AnswerHello, Dc10! The Comfort85CONNECT camera needs to be plugged in all the time to work as it doesn't have battery backup. Please reach us at [email protected] should you have further questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible to help. Kind Regards, Cassia & the Motorola Support Team.
A:AnswerNot secure at all. The feed is very easily hijacked as well as altered and someone could easily keep the camera from receiving any updates to the firmware, which poses a whole new risk. But the most concerning security flaw of the camera, to me at least, is the camera log. Through the camera log, one can easily see very private information such as ssid, the password to your home wifi, ad well as the ip address of not only the camera but also your entire home network and any device attached to it. Thats not even the worst part..... yikes right?! The camera keeps a log of every single solitary thing the camera does, every setting thats changed, every movement and the feed that goes with it, everytime a device logs onto the feed (as well as that devices ip address), password, and the list goes on... and it gets worse. That log is not available for your viewing. I tried to contact binatone to get a translation of the log because my feeds, notifications, and settings have been tampered with and binatone informed me that they could not decode it so that i could view it. A camera, that I PAID FOR, is keeping a log of goings on of my network traffic, my home, as well as the personal footage itself that i am not able to access? Even in the instance that mine has been tampered with, and i cant even see what devices have accessed the camera, or what settings have been altered or blocked, or what events have been deleted, when the wifi was disconnected (as a means to keep the camera from being able to communicste so that events arent sent to binatone and im never notified of any movement or sound in my home.
