Not secure at all. The feed is very easily hijacked as well as altered and someone could easily keep the camera from receiving any updates to the firmware, which poses a whole new risk. But the most concerning security flaw of the camera, to me at least, is the camera log. Through the camera log, one can easily see very private information such as ssid, the password to your home wifi, ad well as the ip address of not only the camera but also your entire home network and any device attached to it. Thats not even the worst part..... yikes right?! The camera keeps a log of every single solitary thing the camera does, every setting thats changed, every movement and the feed that goes with it, everytime a device logs onto the feed (as well as that devices ip address), password, and the list goes on... and it gets worse. That log is not available for your viewing. I tried to contact binatone to get a translation of the log because my feeds, notifications, and settings have been tampered with and binatone informed me that they could not decode it so that i could view it. A camera, that I PAID FOR, is keeping a log of goings on of my network traffic, my home, as well as the personal footage itself that i am not able to access? Even in the instance that mine has been tampered with, and i cant even see what devices have accessed the camera, or what settings have been altered or blocked, or what events have been deleted, when the wifi was disconnected (as a means to keep the camera from being able to communicste so that events arent sent to binatone and im never notified of any movement or sound in my home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
