The input jack appears to be a standard USB. I would try using a phone charger and see what happens. Now you got me curious... Give me a minute. Yep. I used my LG AC adapter/charger in the jack and the progress bar indicates it is charging. Manufactures who want repeat customers are going to get smart and avoid proprietary accessories. I hadn't considered the issue before buying this device. But the lack of USB charging has been the deal breaker for me on a couple of things. Given the choice, USB charging capability is a big plus.
