- Answer Yes, I'm using it just for my one 32" monitor. And that works perfectly fine. You can even detach the second monitor arm, if you don't need it. -> Just be careful you don't lose any of the parts when you unscrew it.

- Answer I know this does not directly answer your question but... To be honest, I would not use a 27" monitor or larger on this stand, even though it may physically fit. Because you can do it doesn't mean you should do it. 27" monitors were a real pain and sucked the life out of me getting them to stay in place and adjusted.
