How does the unit get it’s power? null

A cable is plugged into the right side of the holder. The cable is ran to a plug that goes into a dual port usb adapter that is provided in the box. The adapter plugs into your 12v cigarette lighter.

It has a cord that plugs in a 12V outlet on your dash.

It comes with a cigarette lighter adapter that plugs in to its side. Works great has a quick release and also fast charges my phone. If you have a CD slot that you don't use this is great. Very strong and secure.
