As another engineering student, I would personally suggest you invest in a desktop and get a chromebook or a tablet for class. You're gonna need something that can handle the demanding software and a laptop tends to wear down quicker than a laptop. If you REALLY want a laptop, I would suggest a gaming HP But to answer your question, yes it can handle games like Fortnite, The Witcher 3, Halo Wars 2.
