“Just got this laptop, everything is great but can’t get the fan to go below 2400 rpm when just surfing the web. Even when cpu is at 2-3% usage and gpu at 0% the fan is always on. Anyone have a solution or is this normal?”

You have to go to MSI dragon center that is pre-installed on your computer. From the app, there will be a section where you can customize a profile to your choosing regarding when temps go on and off and tweak it from there.
