• This computer only comes with a single 8 GB RAM chip which is in one of the two available memory slots. The speed of the chip is 2666 MHz or 2.6 GHz. The second slot can accommodate one 8 GB RAM chip. I bought a PNY 8 GB RAM chip for laptops that had the speed 2666 MHz (2.666GHz) from Best Buy and had the Geek Squad install it. It works fine in the computer and it now says it has 16 GB of memory.
