- Answer No, I believe you need to update the BIOS before you can use the Ryzen 5000 series chips on this board. I have this board personally and there were 3 new bios updates that I had to do.

- Answer Cpu, Gpu (unless you get a cpu with onboard graphics), storage (ssd or hdd), ram, power supply, case (i guess optional), fans/a cpu cooler, and a clear static free workspace.
