I use the Bean setting for High.

Instead of trying to figure out what setting is high, I looked up how you would cook each one of the preset foods to reverse associate the temperature with the preset. I found most instructions for cooking brown rice say to use the high settings, so we use the brown rice preset when cooking chicken, etc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would use the "Saute" or "Sear" option, which is usually associated with highest heat setting on a stove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Push the "Manual" button. That will set it on High heat and 30 minutes. Then hold down the Plus (+) or Minus (-) button to change the timer to more or less than 30 minutes. Works like a charm. When it shows the minutes you want, push the "Start" button.
