Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it detaches. They actually come with two cables. One with volume control the other without. Do not purchase without an extended warranty. I learned the hard way good headphones but no support when they break. Nabi response to my daughters headphone not playing out one side is to bring them back to Bestbuy. Now after Bestbuys 30 day return policy not sure what to do.
