• No, you can not mount this in the attic. The operating Temperature of this device is 32deg F to 104 deg F. It will be too hot for this device in the summer. It will be too cold for this device in the winter. There should be plenty of places to mount this device. A closet. Under a dresser. Under a bed. In the basement. Use your imagination.

• The unit is mountable on a wall so I don't see why it couldn't be mounted in an attic.
