• No reason there would be. You can try to stick with the same brand throughout the network, or not. It should all work the way it is supposed to.

• No! This is a switch! Just plug it into your router's lan port and you should be good! No configuration or setup needed.

• I can't imagine any issue. A hub/switch is very transparent. I assume you have a cable or FIOS modem. Plug your N+ router into it and then plug the hub into the N+. The only settings will be made on the router - the hub has no controls except on-off.

• Works with Netgear router of the same age and a Linux box pretending its a router. Its a simple device so there shouldn't be any strange effects unless the Belkin is strange.

• I don't see how there could be a conflic with any router this would just plug into one of the Ethernet ports and make more ports available to plug devices in.
