• yes up to 10 cameras is free....once you reach 10 cameras you will have to upgrade account...you can monitor as many cameras as you want. I have 9 cameras and two base stations.

• no- you need to be connected to wifi base unit. Unless Building 1 and building 2 is within range of the wifi base unit.
