QuestionI just have Optimum WiFi through their cable hookup only. Can I use this to replace my Optimum Arris TM822 Modem, and the Sagemcom Router that Optimum provided ?

- Answer It works with Cablevision, I changed Cablevision ARRIS Modem and Motorola Router with this NETGEAR AC 1600. And saved 10$ every month. This one piece replaces both modem and router, that is great and space saver. It just need to register the modem using MAC address of NETGEAR to cablevision website when you plug in and start. It will automatically rout you to website for registering the new modem (your new NETGEAR) If it fails that way you can call to Cablevision customer care and register your new modem by providing them MAC address. Good luck

- Answer I was just told by CenturyLink that Netgear AC1600, Netgear AC1900, and Netgear DM200 would work for their 40mbs service. I suggest you ask CenturyLink if you have other than 40mbs service. I am upgrading from 20mbs service, and according to them the current modem I have will not work at 40mbs.

QuestionWe have 3 hard wired TV's hooked up to the existing rented X1 Comcast modem/router. The wireless internet is obvious here, how about the TV's? Want to ditch the $10/month and get better wi-fi service while hooking up our TV's.

- Answer We also had the comcast modem forever, and decided to finally invest in another router instead of paying the rental fee. We went with a Netgear router after reading the reviews. Been happy with the purchase. It works just as well as the Comcast router did. It has the option of being hard wired to 3 devices. However, I would recommend wireless if possible.

- Answer I have the Nighthawk AC 1900 cable modem router and it works just fine. It is almost $300.00 and the next one down was a little cheaper but this one had all the features and the quality that I wanted. Hope this helps.
