- Answer I use a different cell service and have connected a cell signal booster. I’ve got great cell service at my home now. Not sure why a SIM card from any cell phone or wireless device would need to be compatible. If you want to connect your phone to WiFI, it will work just fine.

- Answer It works with an ssl or ipsec vpn connection. However, if you are connecting to an old school, lower security PPTP vpn, then you have to install the patch on Netgears website to allow that type of vpn connection.

- Answer No, there are no firmware updates for this product. This has been on the market for years and Netgear abandoned it on Day 1.
