Will this route/modem work with Verizon DSL? null

I'm not familiar with Verizon DSL but unless it is supplied to your home in a piece of co-axial (round cable with a copper core and braiding around the outside of it) cable, no it will no. DSL means Digital Subscriber Line and that comes down the telephone cable, this device is a DOCSIS MODEM which needs an 'F' plug and co-ax.
