I got this for my home network to replace a dying Belkin router that could not handle the traffic on my network any longer. I just got fed up one day and drove to Best Buy to pick it up. Wow, I could not be happier with my purchase. First thing I did was make sure it was compatible with my DSL provider, Centurylink, which it is. The router was very simple to plugin and configure and best of all is it fast and reliable. We saw our wireless speeds jump from maybe 25mps on old router to 80 or so on the lower band up to 250 on the higher band. It has not dropped out once, and we hooked it up 29 days ago. It just works. I like that is a dual band so you actually can get two wireless stations broadcasting. That allows you to configure low volume devices like phones to use the lower band and the higher volume devices like tablets and laptops to use the higher band instead of all the devices fighting for bandwidth in one pipeline. We love this router - it has become something we don't even need to think about any longer and that to me is the best confirmation of money well spent.

Seems to work better than the Actiontec I was using before. Those seemed to fail about every 6-12 months, so we'll see if this one makes it that long. Only minor issue I've seen so far is that the RJ-45's seem to be a little flaky with regard to maintaining connectivity when the router is moved.

After having purchased other so-called "name brand routers", at only a few dollars less, I now consider them as 1-year disposables. While at BestBuy, I decided to spend a few extra bucks for a NetGear. I was enticed by the fact that a modem was also on board, eliminating another purchase. I've had the N600 for 2 months and the DSL speeds are impressive. Setup was quick and easy. Downloads/uploads are fast and error-free. I only had to re-boot the router once (during a net configuration) and I think that was an independent device problem. Amongst it's impressive usage versatility, router security is great and the software download for the router is awesome. It includes a tool kit with problem resolvers and 24/7 online help/support options. Satisfaction with NetGear website security is comparable. As suggested by the mfg., I keep the router on all of the time and so far I haven't had any problems. Other devices immediately recognize its presence for easy wireless configuration. I'm hoping that its superb function will continue for many upcoming years and would definitely recommend its purchase, based upon quality and performance, thus far.

I have At&t and my router died so I looked up alternatives rather than going through At&t. After hearing what they suggested and looking up alternatives, I ended up at Best Buy. I liked the Netgear name and bought this model. It works well. I price matched it and paid about $80 for it out the door. It works well in our 1600 sq ft house. I have it upstairs and it reaches everywhere. My laptops get a good signal. Our Samsung tablet struggles sometimes with the signal. We watch Netflix through our Wii U downstairs and the signal is good. Overall I am pleased with the purchase as we have multiple devices that connect to it including our cell phones when we are home.

When I first signed up with Verizon for internet service, I was sold a wireless router that gave me problems from the very beginning. When I contacted the ISP, I was told I couldn't just purchase any router, limited to 2 manufacturers. After more than a year of having to reset our router a minimum of once a day, I decided to shop for another product. Visited Best Buy and was told that there wasn't a problem using Netgear with the ISP, so with the assurance of the sales person that it could be returned if we experienced a problem with the product. I have not had to reset once since purchasing the Netgear Wireless Router and am extremely happy that we no longer have to constantly reset..

I purchased this to modem/router to replace the basic Netgear/Westell 7550 modem/router as supplied free by Frontier. I wanted more features, performance, and control than the 7550. I chose this modem/router because it was on the approved DSL modems list for Frontier. I wanted to minimize a chance of Frontier saying that a problem was associated with my modem rather than their supplied modem. Because of this I didn't look at any other products.
Overall I'm very happy with the DGND3700 (N600). It was very easy to configure and I had no problems connecting to the Frontier network. There's plenty of settings, but not as many as I would have preferred. The menu system is pretty easy to get around, and each page has a small amount of help for the settings. Parental Control software is readily available for download from OpenDNS but I haven't tried it.
I think the 2.4ghz radio range is good, but not great and is probably no better than the basic 7550. There are no external antennas so you cannot simply change antennas. Like all 5ghz radios, the range was not good even with the upper channels and I turned it off since I didn't need 5ghz anyway.
I'm using the Ethernet ports, but I haven't tried the USB ports or printer sharing. QOS was easy to setup. The device came with the latest firmware and it's been rock solid. I think the overall streaming performance on my network has improved with this DGND3700 and it's definitely more stable than with the original 7550. And I'm very happy with the control and understanding I have over the somewhat locked down Frontier modem.
Regarding Netgear support, they are very responsive but usually misunderstands my questions and continually provides wrong answers. Don't expect much there, but Netgear has an active online forum which is great.
Purchasing from Best Buy online and picking it up at a local store was perfect.

When my old (cheap) modem/router stopped working, I turned to NetGear, whose products I've had great luck with. Setup was straightforward and operation and range have been great. Couldn't be happier.

My Frontier modem died again! Can't wait until their replacement come! I felt brainless. So my husband and I went to Bestbuy bought one of their on sale products to bridge the gap. Found out this product is sleek in appearance and easy to set up. Good speed. We ended up just continue to use this modem even after Frontier's replacement came.

My old modem/router quit. Called my ATT tech support and he recommended the Netgear as a replacement. Went to Best Buy because of their sales staff's better technical knowledge. When I had a slight problem getting everything working, went to the Netgear web site and found the glitch quickly. Quickly got all of my wireless gear hooked up. Then had 8 family members staying here for the holidays and was pleasantly surprised that had zero problems with their access to the internet. Even used the 5.4 MHz channel. Great device.

Just a simple matter of unpacking out of the box, plugging it in, and turning it on. Automatically picked up the router settings for AT&T dsl service once I entered the signon information, it was up and running. No additional configuration was necessary, although I always go in and do a few changes to make certain things are locked down. Even if you wish to make changes as I do, the menus are simple to navigate and it's all pretty much self explanatory.

Great Modem/Router Unit

I was looking for a good, secure, reasonably priced DSL modem/router unit to replace a similar unit by Actiontec provided by my ISP. We had this router for a while and it worked great but was concerned with lack of security features. I saw this Netgear unit on sale at Best Buy and thought to give it a shot. So far we've had it for 1 month and are pleased. The dual band and guest accounts are great as you can assign multiple SSID's making your network really secure. I like the fact that you can set it up where you can't access the router settings through wifi but only thru wired ethernet connection. You can even schedule either one of the bands or both to turn off its wifi signal at a given time interval to save power. The unit was fairly easy to set up, just follow the initial instructions and once you're in the router, you can really tweak it to your needs. The range is good for 5ghz but better for the 2.4.. We have this thing located in the basement center and are able to get at least 2-3 bars (50-80%) anywhere in the house even on the 3rd floor. Overall, we've been happy with the unit. It gets the job done and hoping to do so for many more years....we'll see.

The router works and reaches a majority of the areas in my house but the signal is not as strong as I expected. There is virtually no difference between the two emitted signals but it works to split between the devices I have online. If you are looking for a wireless router that works just enough to write a review than this is for you.

I have Windstream and I was able to increase my speed by 2 Meg with this Modem/Router, and was able to get internet all through my house. My factory Windstream I had to hook up a separate router to get internet upstairs.

Works great with a decent range. Easy to setup. Just replaced my TWC subsribed modem and I am saving $9 bucks a month. This would pay itself in 10 months. Easy to setup and install.

Read a ton of reviews and finally decided to get a new modem/router to replace my old actiontec. I've had the Netfear almost a month now and I can honestly say, I have NO complaints. I haven't had to restart it at all. The range is excellent. Every device that I powered on ( new wireless desktop, iPad , new smart tv, new printer) connected easily. Bit of a tussle trying to change the preset password though. All in all, five star.

This is a very easy and fast to install DSL router. It automatically set itself up on AT&T (with AT&T's automatic help) without me having to do much. Didn't even have to dig up AT@T's DSL password, because it automatically set up a new one. Has been working reliably ever since. Just works. Nice.

Netgear is my go-to product when I need a replacement and this did not let me down. I unplugged the old unit, plugged this one up, laptop found it, program installed and your back to playing online again! Speed is great and it does exactly what I need for the price.

This is an excellent piece of equipment, ideal for a medium sized home with multiple wireless devices as well as wired connections. It was very easy to configure the different wireless networks, secure the access, and get online with it. Replacing my old router with this one took 15 minutes of down time total.
