- Answer It is just a router (a device to broadcast wi-fi signal). You will need to setup internet service with a provider, they will provide you with a modem to get you online. The router just turns that internet you are paying for into wi-fi accessible internet in your home. It doesn't have a monthly fee.

QuestionWhy does the ad say there is a 1 year manufacturer warranty on this product when the manufaturer website states that refurbished equipment is only covered for 30 days? The serial numbers are removed so they can’t be registered. Will geek squad cover it?

QuestionI received this last Friday but the DST adapter was not in the box. I didn't see anywhere on how to contact Best Buy for them to send me the adapter I need so I am trying on here.

Just copy the link above and paste it in the address bar on the top of your browser, or just highlight the entire link then right click on the mouse and go scroll down to this "Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haJbPtZ90bM" This video actually shows you how to set up everything, hope this helps.... Also with most things now you can go to youtube and type in the product name you need to install, and there's usually tons of videos that can help love youtube for that..... Even though I'm into tech and very good and things tech oriented, can't hurt to get some help to make sure the set up is right.

QuestionSo to be clear because it is kind of confusing... If I buy this router with out the Geek Squad Protection, and it doesn't work, I can still return it? In other words, I don't have to buy extra insurance to make sure this isn't costing me money.

QuestionWhy is this more expensive then the regular on even without the discounted on the new non refurbished. It went up $150 dollars in the matter of 2 days.

QuestionDoes it work with Verizon Fios? If yes,do I replace the Actiontec M1424WR with it or Connect to the existing Router and then add the extender upstairs?

- Answer You'll still need your FiOS gateway (the Actiontec). Connect an ethernet cable from one of the numbered ports on the Actiontec to the "WAN" port on this Netgear router and go through the setup procedure. The Netgear will give you the option to serve as a wireless access point instead of a router. This is good. The Netgear's Wi-Fi will be superior to that of the Actiontec, which will work fine as a router, and the DST can be strategically placed to extend the network's wireless reach. The only other thing to remember to do is disable the Wi-Fi on the Actiontec so it doesn't interfere with the wireless signals of the Netgear equipment.
